Inducted into the NY Blues Hall of Fame in 2014, Elly Wininger is a veteran of the Greenwich Village scene where she played the opening night at CBGB. Elly's deep involvement with the country blues as well as her award-winning original songs have earned her a reputation for highly entertaining performances. Her expert finger style guitar playing has been called "edgy and flawless" as well as "stunning and sparkling." Her most recent album, "The Blues Never End" (Earwig Music 2021) has been nominated for an Independent Blues Award for "Best Acoustic Blues Album." Elly recently won the Solo/Duo Competition at the Hudson Valley Blues Society and will be competing in The Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Elly is also a producer, educator, and host of the popular radio show Catskill Cabaradio. Her public radio series "Rockin' the Boat" exploring the role of music in political and social change was honored with an award from the United Nations Department of Information.
