-This workshop will be an insightful offering for attendees that will be less music theory/playing related and more about tips for sounding your best depending on your style, guitar choice and preferred genre. -We will go over nail care, posture, observed sonic behaviors of notable tonewoods that are based on science and not just subjectivity, and of course - string choice. -Dustin has played over 100 handmade guitars during his tenure at Cedar Rock Studio Guitar Gallery to include many by today's top luthiers and he has also owned many of these makers' guitars over the years. -Dustin will be sharing experiences and outlooks on why certain guitars work well for certain genres from a frequency and responsiveness standpoint and of course what techniques will help people play more ergonomically for longer periods of time.

Clinic Information

Instructional Clinics for the 2023 Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase will be posted as they are confirmed.

Clinics cost $40 per person per clinic. Pay at the door with cash or credit card. There is limited space, so advance reservations are recommended. You do not need to buy a pass to the Luthiers Showcase to attend Clinics.

Participants should bring their own instruments, tuners, capos, any permitted recording devices, etc. Clinics will be held in the Pavilion of The Bear Cantina (295A Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY 12498), northwest corner of the Bearsville Center complex, steps away from the Bearsville Theater. There will be a free guitar checkroom there for Clinic attendees. No personal instruments are allowed in the Luthiers Showcase Bearsville Theater or Utopia Soundstage exhibition areas.
