Join us as we celebrate the unique musical legacy of Woodstock with a fingerstyle guitar arrangement of one of the most enduring and beloved songs to originate from the musical community in Woodstock, “The Weight”. This classic song was written by guitarist and songwriter Robbie Robertson at The Band’s famous home Big Pink. It has memorable melody lines, a great feel and indelible characters that make it stick in your head. The setting of the song in Nazareth references the hometown of one of the long-time sponsors of Woodstock Invitational Luthier Showcase, The Martin Guitar Company.
This fingerstyle guitar arrangement is designed for players of all skill levels. A transcription is included in both notation and tablature.
Clinics cost $40 per person per clinic. Pay at the door with cash or credit card. There is limited space, so advance reservations are recommended. You do not need to buy a pass to the Luthiers Showcase to attend Clinics.
